  • Get your car thoroughly serviced before the trip (brakes, tyres, battery, fluids).
  • Carry spare engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, and a tyre puncture kit.
  • Always top up fuel when available. Carry a jerry can for remote stretches.
  • Drive cautiously on narrow roads. Use low gears when descending.
  • Honk gently at blind turns and during overtakes.
  • Use headlights in fog or low-visibility conditions.
  • Warm up the engine in the morning.
  • Park only on stable, flat surfaces.
